Laser Blended Vision Presentation - Dan Reinstein

Описание к видео Laser Blended Vision Presentation - Dan Reinstein

In this video, Professor Dan Reinstein discusses Laser Blended Vision for the correction of presbyopia in myopic, hyperopic or emmetropic patients. Laser Blended Vision was developed by Prof Reinstein since 2003 and is now a commercially available product with the Carl Zeiss Meditec MEL80 excimer laser. The video explains how Laser Blended Vision combines the use of spherical aberration to increase depth of field with micro-monovision to achieve clear vision at all distances without compromising quality of vision. This enables Laser Blended Vision to overcome the compromises associated with traditional monovision including a blur zone at intermediate distances, loss of stereo acuity and reduced binocular distance visual acuity. Unlike corneal inlays and multifocal intraocular lenses for correction of presbyopia, Laser Blended Vision does not produce a reduction in contrast sensitivity nor an increase in night vision disturbances.
