How To Mute Instagram Stories on Android:

Launch the Instagram app on your Android device. Log in to your account if you haven't already.

Scroll through your Stories feed until you find the profile of the user whose Stories you want to mute. Their profile picture will have a colored ring around it, indicating that they have active stories.

Press and hold your finger on the profile picture of the user whose Stories you want to mute. After a moment, a pop-up menu will appear.

To get to this pop-up menu, you can also tap on the Instagram Story, then on the username at the top. This will take you to the user's profile page.
Tap on "Following".

In the pop-up menu, tap on the "Mute" option. A confirmation box will appear, asking if you want to mute their Stories or Posts.

Tap "Mute" again to confirm. Now, you have successfully muted their Stories. The colored ring around their profile picture will turn gray, signifying that their Stories are muted.

Unmuting Instagram Stories:
