EUROPES MOST EXPENSIVE TOURIST ATTRACTION IS IT WORTH IT?

Grindelwald is set in the most beautiful location surrounded by huge imposing snowcapped mountains. We stay at Camping Gletscherdorf which is just a steep 10 minute walk from Grindelwald. The town is touristy and expensive but you can quickly find peace in all directions of the valley. It was so beautiful we stayed longer than planned.

We fully intended to visit the Jungfraujoch but at 380CHF for 2 people it simply wasn't worth it, we'd done it before and to be honest the views from Wengen are just as spectacular.

The ride into Lauterbrunnen is all off road and by the river, we chose to ride up to Wengen from Lauterbrunnen which is STEEP! Our eBikes definitely earn't their keep this day.

Our ride to Bort and onward to Bussalp was also very beautiful, but very steep again. It is possible to catch a cable car to Bort and hire a scooter to ride back down - it looked fun.
