"Lamb to the Slaughter" aired on April 13, 1958, as part of the "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" television series. The episode begins with a seemingly normal evening as we find pregnant housewife Mary Maloney (played by Barbara Bel Geddes) eagerly awaiting husband Patrick’s return from work. However, when he arrives, he delivers shocking news: he intends to leave her. In a fit of rage and desperation, Mary grabs a frozen leg of lamb from the freezer and strikes her husband on the head, taking his life, instantly. After the initial shock, Mary decides to cover up her crime.
