This answer was on the right track. She touches on the fact that she worked with minimal supervision at previous jobs, but ends her answer there. Ideally, we would like her to elaborate and describe a specific situation where she thrived while on her own. Anecdotal stories engage the interviewer and make you a more appealing candidate. Try thinking of a story where you were given responsibility and worked hard at it when no one was around to motivate you. You could pick an example from a previous job, a school project, or a volunteer opportunity.
If you don’t have a specific example at hand, you could provide a detailed description of your personal work style. Here is an excellent example of an interviewee laying out how she works well independently.
Just remember to be confident and be able to show your interviewer the reason behind why you have a strong work ethic.
