In today’s reflection, we honor Saint Bibiana, virgin and martyr, whose heroic perseverance under torture during the persecution of Julian the Apostate (361–363 A.D.) continues to inspire Catholics today. We also commemorate the Prophet Habakkuk, whose prophecy reveals powerful truths about how God permits—but never endorses—the actions of the wicked to bring about justice.

This homily dives deep into:

✨ How God “punishes” by withdrawing protection and allowing evil to act
✨ Why the Chaldeans were allowed to punish Israel—and then punished themselves
✨ The martyrdom of Saint Bibiana, her father Flavian, her mother Daphrosa, and her sister Demetria

✨ Why God may not save us from earthly suffering but always seeks to save our souls
