Ellen Moceri, Head of School at Ransom Everglades School in Miami, Florida, discusses the public purpose of private schools. Ellen has been the Head of Ransom Everglades School since 2001 and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the SSAT and the Board of Trustees of the Southern Association of Independent Schools. Under her leadership, Ransom Everglades School received the NAIS Leading Edge Award in Equity and Justice. Ellen also received the Klingenstein Education Leadership Award for her support of the Summer Bridge/Breakthrough program.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
