I've been obsessing over how some of these things fit into the context of Inuyasha. Soooo first of course we have Inuyasha taking place where there are yokai and there are mutants/yokai in ROTTMNT. We have the oozequitos as the shards of the shikon jewel that our protagonists accidentally unleashed. Then we have jerkass with a heart of gold Donnie as Inuyasha and spunky, not-putting-up-with-your-bs April as Kagome. Mayhem serves as a Kirara here, which I think makes April the Sango as well. We have the Hidden City as the Feudal era that April goes to. She has a mystic connection to Karai (who is a bit like Kikyo without the romantic aspect beccause no thank you). You can even take April's witch outfit or Hamato outfit as the priestess outfit Kagome wears from time to time. Of course Apritello because I've held myself back for fear of backlash but I love this pairing so much; they even argue a bit like how Kagome and Inuyasha do but are much more healthy than them...I decided to put Baron Draxum as a stand in for Sesshoumaru since he too gets a sorta redemption, with the Shredder as Naraku pulling the strings in the background. Also also Donnie wearing a disguise to visit April is like how Inuyasha wore a hat to visit Kagome at school or in the modern era. Aaaaand Kagome and April wear green!
