For better or worse, the unprecedented heat in Europe and North America has opened up many climate discourses and reminded people of the urgency of climate change. Unfortunately, not much attention has gone to its interconnectedness with environmental justice. When we talk about climate change, we tend to focus on its effects globally and overlook the fact that certain communities suffer more from climate impacts. In fact, climate change itself is an environmental justice issue to a large extent. That said, our actions contribute to not only climate change but also environmental injustice in some ways.

For that reason, Justin created this video to briefly talk about why climate change could be unfair and inhumane. In the video, he also encourages people to sign the Global Climate Pledge so that we can resolve climate change and climate injustice together. More importantly, he hopes more people will be mindful of environmental justice issues and understand their significance in the aspect of sustainable development
