After now-disgraced and disbarred attorney Thomas V. Girardi evaded discipline for many years, the State Bar expedited Client Security Fund payouts to Girardi’s victims. Jill relates her experience and how she was able to use the Client Security Fund to recoup lost settlement funds.

The Client Security Fund is entirely funded by attorneys and offers up as much as $100,000 to reimburse clients per victim who have lost money or property due to theft or dishonest conduct by a California lawyer.
