Fijian Prime Minister, Hon. Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, farewelled the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt. Hon. Jacinda Ardern at the Nausori International Airport.

PM Bainimarama was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Inia Seruiratu, Commissioner of Police Sitiveni Qiliho and Fiji’s High Commissioner to New Zealand Filimone Waqabaca.

PM Ardern inspected a Guard of Honor before departing for the Western Division where she will pay her respects at the Lautoka Mosque and meet the local Muslim community as well as open the Nadi branch of the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre later today.

The series of meetings officiated by PM Ardern on her first official visit has made substantial contribution towards the two countries mutual fight against climate change and having a safer border and drug control through an agreement with the Fiji Police Force.

PM Ardern's return to New Zealand today confidently marks a stronger bilateral relationship between Fiji and New Zealand.
