Men's Outfit Inspiration 2019 - The GQ look on a Budget

What's up, guys welcome back to another installment of the GQ look on a budget series. Today I'm breaking down an outfit that I saw worn by Jim Parsons on GQ's Instagram. I was excited to try this using this men's outfit as inspiration for you guys.

It's a very straight forward outfit that uses the very versatile color pairing of grey, blue and white. Also what I liked about it is that everything you see on the outfit can easily be paired with a wide variety of different outfits. So if you were to pick up the items for this particular outfit, you would get a lot of use out of everything here.

The Shirt

This is a standard gingham button-down shirt. Remember we say button down because there are the buttons on the collar for you to "button down" the collar. You can find this pattern anywhere since it's incredibly common. I found this shirt at Burlington's for just under $15, which is a very reasonable price.

This tie I found on Amazon from a retailer I've used before. I like this particular tie because it keeps the texture of a knit tie while trimming out some of the bulk. If you've ever tied a knit tie, you know, it can be challenging to do some of the different knots.

This is from The Tie Bar, and they're a go-to resource for me when it comes to ties and various other accessories. This is a reasonable price, in my opinion, for a quality tie bar. I think it's important to strike a balance between price and quality with accessories like this that you'll probably use repeatedly in the future.

As many of you have seen already in previous videos this belt it from Anson Belts. I'm a massive fan of their unique design. There are no holes so you can size the belt to fit you perfectly. The light brown color paired with the gold buckle add some extra dimension to every outfit I decide on.

The Pants

The pants are from Nordstrom Rack, and I love them! As I said thought Nordstrom rack inventory fluctuates quite often, so I've linked to a pair from H&M that's current;y on their website and a more cost-effective alternative.

The Loafers

These I also picked up from Nordstrom Rack (great selection of discounted high-end shoes) for $112 I spent the most on the loafers obviously because I wanted to find genuine suede at the best price. It's more than acceptable to pick up some other options that are more cost effective though. Be aware the quilty won't entirely be the same, the alternatives I've listed are loafers I would consider to be more of a short term option.
