How to make your own paste wax.

*Correction, mineral spirits are not food-safe and contain petroleum distillates. I am planning to use the solvent-based mineral spirit recipe on my shop equipment and the other two waxes on cutting boards and furniture.

When you make paste wax with your own ingredients, you can ensure it is food safe. This gives you the flexibility to use it not only on your tools and equipment, but also as a wood conditioner (on cutting boards and other food contact surfaces). Plus, you can play around with different waxes to find the perfect paste wax for your needs.

For this comparison, I tried out 3 recipes (I switched up the recipes mid-video, so these below are the actual ratios):
1) 3/4 cup Linseed Oil; 1/2 cup Bees wax
2) 1/3 cup Bees Wax; 1/3 cup Carnauba wax; 1 cup walnut oil
3) 1/2 cup bees wax; 1 cup mineral spirits (This recipe #3 is not food contact safe)
