John Oliver Opens Up About ‘Daily Show’ Kicking Him to the Curb The Emmy winning late night host

John Oliver, an Emmy-winning late-night host, revealed that if Comedy Central had allowed him to continue hosting "The Daily Show" every summer, Jon Stewart and other hosts might have left the network. Oliver's contract expired in 2013, and he and Stewart had a plan for Oliver to host every summer. Oliver eventually decided to move to HBO, where he could say what he wanted without corporate pressure.
