Why would you do this?
-You need gold to buy advantages on great balls on tough stages. I usually save gold to get the weekly pokemon. It is much easier to face and catch a pokemon with extra moves/mega headstart/attack power/2-3 greatballs/etc.

Which pokemon should i pick?
-Do not pick pokemon that remove disruption or delay disruption
-I typically use 4 pokemon that are not affective against meowth, if you are lower level you may need to use 1 fighting.

What are the sick strats you use?
-Aim to defeat Meowth with 0-1 moves left, if you don't defeat him you don't get the gold from any combos you made. If you beat him to fast you may not have the opportunity to get the most gold.
-Try to move coins to the right side of the screen.
-Meowth will sometimes summon blocks instead of coins when his countdown goes to zero. This is common.
-Combos of 3 are very common, I suggest these combos when things are looking grim (either finishing the stage too soon or too late).
-Combos of 4 are common and best to aim for, they net 300 gold.
-Combos of 5 are uncommon and hard to pull off, but if you do it nets 500 gold.

Other tips?
-If you plan on doing this for a few days, this can level your pokemon, so use ones the ones you want to level.
