Maharashtra Civic Polls, BMC Election 2026 Vote Counting LIVE Updates: The Maharashtra civic body poll results are showing a favourable trend for the Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena alliance, according to early trends as votes are being counted for elections to 29 civic bodies. The BJP is leading in 741 wards, while its ally, the Shiv Sena, is ahead in 190 wards, according to early trends at 12:20 pm.

The spotlight is on Mumbai, where the Thackeray brothers have reunited to reclaim their heritage and are standing against the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. The BJP-led alliance is ahead in 83 wards in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), according to early leads. The Thackeray brothers, together, are ahead in 58 wards.
