Great Honors of the Golden Times as aptly said to be the "Golden Age of Kangra" was under the regin of Great Maharaja Sansar Chandra between the period 1786 - 1805.
Gallantry Maharaja Sansar Chandra fought and defeated Mughals to establish his regin on the fort of kangra. During these Golden Times there was prosperity as witnessed by rich heritage of art, paintings along with law and order in the vast empire of Maharaja Sansar Chandra all the way from Lahaul Spiti to the plains of Hoshiarpur (18000 sq miles).
The Kangra Fort museum is dedicated to exhibit and personify Great Maharaja Sansar Chandra by his descendants. There are displays of Royal Clothes, Paintings and Weapons used from the reign of Maharaja Sansar Chandra to his Great-Great-Great Grandson H.H Maharaja Sansar Chandra.
