Situated in the center of beautiful Costa del Sol, Málaga serves as the gateway to southern Spain and its many beautiful landscapes and climates. The birthplace of Picasso and one of the most desirable locations in Europe (even in January), Málaga is a port city that embodies the Andalusian way of life. Come with us as we explore some of the most iconic and historical landmarks in this beautiful city!

We will start at the Alcazaba, a hill-top fortress that is the oldest part of Málaga. Its history traces back to the Hammudid dynasty in the early 11th century and is the best-preserved Alcazaba in Spain. Offering insane views of Málaga and Mediterranean, we highly suggest paying the €11 entry fee.

Your ticket will also include a scenic hike to Castillo de Gibralfaro which sits above the Alcazaba. The castle was used as a watchtower, to observe not only the growing population to the west but also the access to the city from the Mediterranean.

After exploring Málaga’s older fortresses, we make a pit stop at 100 Montaditos for a much-needed meal before making our way to Málaga Cathedral. The Málaga Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Church situated in the center of the city and it truly commands the skyline. Constructed in the traditional Renaissance architectural style, it has been a grand representation of the traditional Roman Catholic practice within the region since its completion in 1782.
