Taiwan Micro’s E-Hub wheel made its debut at Computex 2025 as a self-contained front-hub module that electrifies almost any bicycle in minutes without altering the drivetrain. The hub employs a 350 W brushless DC motor delivering 5–20 N·m torque and draws from a 6 Ah, 42 V pack managed by an AI battery-management system that optimises cell utilisation for a claimed 50–70 km per charge. The wheel itself weighs 3.7 kg, fits 24 in, 26 in or 700C rims, and withstands rim-brake loads thanks to 32 stainless spokes tensioned to 110–130 kgf. An onboard gyro detects gradients and feeds closed-loop control logic that modulates power to smooth acceleration, maximise range and log ride data.

Installation relies on a standard 100 mm dropout and the supplied quick-release skewer; once mounted, assistance engages automatically above 5 km/h, leaving pedalling feel unchanged but cutting effort on climbs. A DC jack tops the pack in roughly three hours, while Bluetooth Low Energy links the wheel to an Android or iOS companion app for firmware updates, range prediction and lockout when the bike is parked. By focusing on circular-economy upgrades rather than full bike replacements, Taiwan Micro pitches the wheel to commuters and fleet operators seeking a fast, modular path to electrification without scrapping existing frames.
