Big name Twitch streamers like xQc, Sodapoppin, Cohhcarnage and more are speaking out against Twitch’s new plan to allow fans to buy Twitch Boosts with real money, with xQc calling it the dumbest sh*t he’s ever seen.

The proposed new Twitch Boost is getting a lot of backlash from the platform's biggest stars, as many accuse it of basically being pay to win for Twitch streams. xQc said it was stupid, and the same as view botting, and called it the worst idea he has ever seen in his life, which will destroy new, organic content on Twitch.

Sodapoppin also chimed in, joking that he was just going to buy all his views, and saying that Twitch hated smaller streamers, who likely can’t afford to buy the boosts. Cohhcarnage, who is on Twitch’s Safety Advisory Council, also weighed in, tweeting that he couldn’t even put into words how much he disliked this new experiment to effectively buy viewbots.

Many other streamers and big names like Devin Nash and CaptainSauce also called the move a terrible idea that could severely hurt small streamers and ruin creativity on the platform. So with xQc, Sodapoppin, and tons of other streamers against the proposed Twitch Boost program...will Twitch actually listen and call off the experiment, or is pay to win really the future for Twitch streams?
