1. DIY: Learn the skills needed to fix your factory. This could include learning how other factories operate and using their ideas to improve your own, or gaining qualifications in lean manufacturing and/or six sigma.

2. Use a local consulting company who only specialises in one industry.

3. Use an international style manufacturing consulting firm who has a wide variety of experience from different industries.

Hopefully using consultants is a short-term solution. They shouldn't be with you for any longer than it takes to assess the situation, implement positive changes, and then assure that they're long-lasting.
