Palmetto State Park, Ottine, Texas

Palmetto State Park is located between Luling, TX and Gonzalez, TX. This area has a long history in the Texas Revolution as well as being near the Chisolm trail. Evidence of this history is still visible within the part to this day. The land was acquired from a private owner, by the State of Texas in the 1930's. The CCC made various facilities on site within the 1930's including a pavilion and water tower.
