On behalf of the Indonesian Government and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) together with GIZ as implementing agency set up a project tackling the topic of employment with the help of instruments such as technical and vocational education and training (TVET), inclusive business and an integrated approach to employment promotion together with the private sector. The project is currently focusing in two economic sectors: Manufacturing (in Java) and Sustainable Tourism (in Lombok).

The activities in Manufacturing cover: 1) Development of Human Resources in Manufacturing Companies (PLC training, digital skill development, etc.), and 2) Industry Driven Curriculum Development with TVET Institutes
