Season 1 of Blk Ops highlights the journey of African Americans in the U.S. Special Operations Forces (USSOF) from 1948 to Present. Specifically, BLK OPS interviews seven veterans from different branches of service and from within the Special Operations realm. Learn about the difficulties first generation Special Operators faced in the late 1950's and how some of those struggles remain today.

Some of their stories have never been told until now. From the jungles of Laos to the urban streets of Iraq; the plight of minority service members has just recently become a focal point for the Department of Defense. The demographics of the U.S. Armed Services remain unbalanced in parts of the military, particularly within the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). BLK OPSTM is an unprecedented and exclusive first-hand account of underrepresented veterans who have served in the United States Special Operations Forces (USSOF).

The purpose of BLKOPS is to preserve and showcase stories of underrepresented veterans so future generations may be inspired by their military service and love for America.
