Mike Larry better known as, and the Only1MikeLarry, is a Montreal born DJ and music producer. Mike Larry has been privileged enough to play at venues most wouldn’t even dream of, especially not into their first or second year as a DJ. These venues where sound and bass are extremely important to everyone from the classic raver, the coat check crew, the dj, crowd, all. These venues such as Stereo Montreal, Systems in Queens, Governor’s Island New york City, Comfort Zone and Ryze Toronto, Discotekka in Miami, to say the least. Playing along the sides of legendary DJs to us all, such as, Steve Lawler, Chus & Ceballos, Carlo Lio, Nathan Barato, Ron Costa, Pig & Dan, Michel Cleis, Antonio Piacquadio, The Junkies and many more to say the least.
His obsession with all that is technical, mechanical, deconstructable, & rearrangable, began as a child and has spread into his career as a mechanic, that greatly influenced the productions we find and sounds released by Mike Larry today. Completely launching himself into the house and techno world, realizing that the music was more to him.
Influenced greatly by major names such as Danny Tenaglia, Marco Carola, Dubfire, there has been much anticipation as Mike Larry, is focused on following the footsteps of these DJs and producer who passionately and engagingly are all about the music, groove, bass lines, and quality. Mike has also been recognized by labels, releasing tracks on Blue Orb Records, and Yellowjax Recordings.
Growing so fast and discovering a new way to express himself that finally just feels right, Mike Larry is continuing to smile and as those around him know the SMASH, as he expresses himself more and more everyday, building on himself as a producer, DJ and as a person. With nothing but ambition and gratitude for doing what he loves. He continues to impress people every time he hits the decks. He takes his crowd on a magical journey creating an atmosphere in the room that captivates you till the lights come on. With many productions coming out in the near future , Mike Larry’s Darkroom brand is starting to make it’s mark in Montreal. With future plans for have his own imprint, It is safe to say that Mike isn’t going anywhere but up from here...
