VUB Racing is the Formula Student team from Brussels
In October 2022 we started our autonomous development. Completely from scratch.

After only two short months, our autonomous team has been able to showcase a proof of concept for our next generation self driving race car.

This is a simple test platform utilizing 1 sensor, a camera on an android phone running a simple path finding algorithm. The goal of this project was to create the cheapest & simplest solution to drive between a set of colored cones.

In the coming months we will be implementing this technology on a bigger cart and finetuning the software to hopefully get us closer to our goal of a self driving electric race car.
