Andrew McCarthy on Making Peace With & Celebrating the Iconic Era of The Brat Pack

Andrew McCarthy joins Kyle Meredith to talk about his new documentary, Brats, where for the first time the Pretty In Pink actor takes a deep look at the white hot moment during the 80’s culture when a new young Hollywood was dubbed The Brat Pack, and featuring new interviews with Emilio Estevez, Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, and Demi Moore, among others. McCarthy discusses why he finally stopped running from this part of his past and making peace with the term that was dropped onto them, as well as deconstructing why it all happened, and how it came to impact all of their lives still to this day. The St. Elmo’s Fire star goes on to talk about the closure involved with a dive into one’s past, the different reactions and relationships that the other members have, and, of course, the power of the music from those iconic films, including the Pack’s unofficial theme, “(Don’t You) Forget About Me”.
