Take Me Away

It’s been a year now, I still miss this wonderful lady so much. Late upload here as I recorded this in the days after her passing.

This was a song I had written about my own struggles with not wanting to carry on with this life in the past, but at the time of my grandma’s passing, when she made her choice to let go, I wanted to try and step in her shoes and imagine what she was going through. This song seemed to capture (for me) what she may have been feeling.

It’s worth saying, that other than those final days of her life, giving up the fight, that the words of this song don’t represent my beautiful grandma at all. She was the most incredible lady; full of positivity, mischief, adventure and resilience.
