Mark Monday

Standing in the Museum of the Future, I found myself speaking Hindi to a robot.

It was playful, unexpected—and strangely grounding.

As artificial intelligence accelerates at a pace we can barely keep up with, moments like these remind me that the future is not just something we enter. It is something we respond to, shape, and ultimately leave our mark upon.

This first Mark Monday of 2026 is also a transition.

I’m experimenting with short form content. A transition from long-form blogs into reels—moments, fragments, conversations—shared here and as Shorts on YouTube. Different mediums, same intention: to think out loud, to question, and to mark time with meaning.

Speed vs. Intention

AI and robotics are redefining how quickly the world evolves.
But speed alone doesn’t create meaning.
Marks are not made by how fast we move, but by how intentionally we choose to show up.

The Human Element

Speaking in my national language to a machine felt symbolic.
Technology may learn our words, but it’s still our values, cultures, and voices that give those words weight.
In a future filled with automation, human perspective becomes the mark.

Designing Legacy

As architects, designers, and creators, we are trained to think beyond the immediate.

What we design today—systems, spaces, conversations—becomes tomorrow’s inheritance.

The question is no longer can we build it?
It is … should we—and why?

Mark Monday is not about visibility alone.
It’s about authorship.

In a future shaped by AI, the most powerful mark we can leave as humans is one of intention, empathy, and thoughtfulness.
