Low energy focused shockwaves along with rehab exercises are my preferred treatment options for knee osteoarthritis (OA). Even "bone-on-bone" knees can feel improvement from shockwave therapy. Knee arthritis is a degenerative joint disease characterized by the breakdown of cartilage in the knee joint, bone spurs and subchondral sclerosis. This leads to pain, stiffness, and decreased mobility.
