Whether during music production or in live performances, you might want to filter out or just filter MIDI notes. You can filter either by pitch or velocity. There are four different devices in Ableton Live that can help you with this task. It's possible to either fully block MIDI notes outside of a defined range by pitch or velocity, or to filter them to conform to the set range.

In this video tutorial we'll first look at how we can block MIDI notes outside the range either by pitch or velocity with two methods. Then I'll show you how you can make the MIDI notes outside the desired range to fit within it in different ways.
