Untreated low blood sugar can be dangerous, so it’s important to know what to do about it and to treat it immediately.
FIRST STEP FIRST
CHECK SUGARS
If you feel symptoms of low blood glucose, check your blood glucose level and if it is less than 70 mg/dL, follow these steps
If you aren’t able to check it, go ahead and treat it.
Treatment—The "15-15 Rule"
Eat or drink 15 to 20 grams of glucose or carbohydrates right away.
Examples like four glucose tablets or one tube of glucose gel.
1/2 cup of fruit juice—not low-calorie or reduced-sugar juice.
1/2 can of soda—not low-calorie or reduced-sugar soda.
1 tablespoon of sugar, honey, or corn syrup.
Wait 15 minutes and check your blood glucose level again.
If your glucose level is still low, eat or drink another 15 to 20 grams of glucose or carbohydrates.
Check your blood glucose level again after another 15 minutes.
Repeat these steps until your glucose level is back to your target range.

If your next meal is more than 1 hour away, have a snack. Try crackers or a piece of fruit.
Many have defensive eating
Avoid this by knowing exactly your cause of hypo.

Note:
Infants may need 6 grams,
toddlers may need 8 grams,
small children may need 10 grams.
older children and teenagers may need 15 grams of sugar, which is the same as the recommendation for adults
If you have Severe hypoglycemia than Glucagon is helpful. it is hormone produced in pancreas that stimulates your liver to release stored glucose into your bloodstream.glucagon will quickly raise your blood glucose level.
Glucagon is available by prescription and is either injected or administered or puffed into the nostril.
The people you are in frequent contact with (for example, friends, family members and coworkers) should be instructed on how to give you glucagon to treat severe hypoglycemia.
wearing a medical alert identification bracelet or pendant. A medical alert ID tells other people that you have diabetes and need care right away. .
Do NOT:
Inject insulin (it will lower the person's blood sugar even more)
Provide food or fluids (they can choke)
Severe hypoglycemia can lead to seizures or unconsciousness, that require emergency care. Make sure your family know what to do in an emergency.
