It had been a couple of years since I’ve visited MSY and I am glad I came back! It was an absolutely gorgeous morning for flying, with abundant sun and patchy clouds in the area. Arriving from IAH we approached from the west with a sensational downwind leg along the Mississippi River and passing the airport before turning base and final around the Huey P. Long Bridge for landing on runway 29.
