Upon my dad's first return to Vietnam in forty eight years , he met with veterans of the North Vietnamese/National Liberation Front's Phu Loi Battalion, a group his 101st Airborne Division fought near Phuoc Vinh during and immediately after the 1968 Tet Offensive. Both American and Vietnamese make peace with each other half a century onwards.
