Phosis T'kar Deck - April 2024 (Replays + Decklist)

Horus Heresy Legions Ranked gameplay featuring Phosis T'kar of the Thousand Sons.

Prospero rotation is about to happen in the near future! Today we are taking a last look at one of the warlords that will leave us soon, Phosis T'kar.
I always liked Phosis and Ahrimans playstyle of protecting key troops using your warlord abilities, which is precisely what this deck is meant to do. Utilizing both the protective Shield and Frontline traits of our barriers to protect high value troops like Lascannon Tarantula as well as their self-destructive nature to synergize with Signus Fanatic and Khazdrak, this deck excells at controlling the board to make sure cards like the Tarantula can slowly chip away at the enemy warlord to then finish off the game by making a big push with a Khazdrak-buffed board. Fanatic has amazing synergy with Phosis as the barriers both protect him as well as fully heal and buff its ATK thanks to dying at the start of your turn. Same is true for Khazdrak.

Regarding tech, Niora behind a frontline is very obnoxious to deal with, and Phosis can do this every turn as long as you manage your Psychic Energy accordingly, which is definitely the hardest part about playing this deck. The low tactics count means consistent access to the Psychic Power of your choice using Command Bridge, which is amazing in Thousand Sons in general since the Powers don't care about the 2E you spent on drawing it.

As a bonus Phosis does quite well into most of the meta, both Jaghatai and Angron can struggle to chew through your barriers.
