TUTORIAL - How to make training swords for DAB (Thai Sword Fighting)

In order to join a weapon discipline PAHUYUTH students are required to make their own training weapons (always two of them). In this tutorial we show you how to build practice swords for DAB (sword).

Things you need:

2x Wooden sticks (length 90cm, Ø 2,8 cm).
2x Round rubber plates (Ø 0,5 cm, thickness 5 mm) Used for the guard (beginner’s swords). Simple rubber soles for shoes work best here.
1x Masking Tape (width 3 cm).
1x White Duct Tape (width 1,9 cm).
1x Black Duct Tape (width 1,9 cm).
Sandpaper to smoothen edges and surfaces
Pencil and Carpenter's rule
Scissors or knife to cut tape
