What a shame Patrick Lambie was forced to retire at the young age of 28. His continuous struggles with head injuries is testament to his toughness and his willingness to put his body on the line.

Patrick played 56 tests for the Boks after making his debut as a 20 year old in 2010. He soon became well known for his calmness under pressure, his play making ability and his decision making.

I believe he was a very underrated player and he will be fondly remembered for his fantastic contribution to Springbok and Sharks rugby.
