EXPLORING GUN HILL SIGNAL STATION & THE ANIMAL FLOWER CAVE

Finally, after over 10 long years I'm once again seeing Gun Hill Signal Station. Whilst there, we read up on the history of the station, viewed canons, cannon balls and antique household items. I remember coming to the station during a primary school tour and the view seemed to have gotten better with time.

After we took the hour-long drive to the Animal Flower Cave located in Saint Lucy. There, we walked around the upper surface of the cave checking out the many souvenirs available for purchase, before walking down all 27 steep steps into the cave. Traversing the cave was a bit tricky, the rocks were covered in a layer of moss which is slippery and the roof of the cave hangs low, so watch your head. As we walked further we saw tube worms in small pools within the cave and coral rocks all along the surface of the cave.
