Duxford Flying Legends 2013

On July 12-14 we flew to Cambridge Airport for the annual Flying Legends airshow at Duxford. This event is characterised by a huge number of aircraft from WW2, all in perfect flying condition, and by the friendly atmosphere which makes this airshow in particular and Duxford Airfield in general really unique. The flight time was only about 1 hr 30 minutes and was made in a Cirrus SR22 (PH-JEG) routing from Teuge (EHTE) to Dordrecht (INKET), HSD, XAMAN, CLN, Haverhill and Cambridge EGSC. The flying conditions were good, taking into account that we had to fly VFR on top due to a very low cloud base in the Netherlands and over the North Sea. Once we coasted in at Clacton the Summer returned. During the airshow on Saturday the sky was pretty clear, the temperature high, and the number of visitors incredible.
