Vanrakshak is not just a title or a post, it represents a team of field functionaries of forest department includes the Forest Guards, Watchers, Deputy Rangers, Rangers, Mahaouts, and many more. They are the real heroes behind the everyday hardship and struggles of otherwise calm forests. To save something, one has to sacrifice one's life and needs. To save this planet and its creatures these Vanrakshaks make numerous sacrifices each and every day. They work 24x7, no matter the conditions, they just provide their 100%. Serving for mother nature and its creatures is not an easy job, 47 forest personnel have lost their lives while saving this planet from 1961-2019. Vanrakshak is a story of hardship, struggle and bravery of each and every forest personnel working in Madhya Pradesh and all across India.

This film is very close to my heart. While shooting this film in Bandhavgarh we gave a lift to mahaout while traveling to Tala camp, and a few days back he died while serving for the forest. Let's make all these untold heroes famous who sacrifice each and every day.❤️
