Jarrad VK3BL explains why 'UHF' (PL-259/SO-239) connectors are still by far the best choice for HF Radio usage, and why replacing them with 'N' connectors would be a big step backwards.

To be fair, we cover the advantages of the N connector, and do suggest an few alternatives such as the 4.3-10 or 7/16 DIN connectors if we 'must' do away with the humble UHF for HF usage.
