How To Set Tubular Rivets in Leather

We go over using two different ways you can set tubular rivets: splash and cap. The splash does not require a cap, and instead the end of the post 'splashes' to secure the rivet in place. The cap version sets with the post peeing into the cap cavity.

One of the big differences of a tubular rivet is that it can pierce leather and other materials without having to first punch a hole. However, the self-piercing method must be done with a hand press.
