Aogashima is a volcanic island located in the Philippine Sea in Japan. It is part of the Hachijo-jima group of islands, and is administratively part of Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The island has a small population of about 200 people, and can only be reached by ferry or helicopter from the mainland.
