This video shows the location and procedure for adjusting the rear brake callipers of all 1990-2005 Mazda Miata, MX-5, Eunos Roadster and also Protégé5.

This is essential knowledge that will help you to safely retract the piston when installing new brake pads.
Failure to back off the adjustment screw can result in damage to the internal mechanism that makes the hand brake work.

After replacing rear brake pads, it is important to adjust the callipers.
Correctly adjusted callipers will apply the right amount of braking and the hand brake will stop the car from moving.

Tools used: 14mm wrench 🔧 and 4mm (5/32) hex bit. You could also use an allen key.
