Robot bass clarinet---the bass function role in this band, the low notes you hear are coming from this amplified, effected bass clarinet, inspired by Eddie Harris, Don Ellis, Ian Underwood and Miles Davis; built in consultation with Perry Tee, Throb Henson, Tadas Paegle and Set Benjamin Bortolotti.

Live June 9, 2000 in Chicago at the Big Horse, which was a kind of back alley club that was in fact between an alley and a burrito shop -- you could get in either by walking through the burrito place, or coming in from the alley. We played there quite a bit 2000-2001.

magnesium was the Cornelius Boots led prog-rock, industrial funk power trio, active in Chicago from 2000-2002 and again in Oakland and San Francisco 2004-2005. Both this group and its predecessor Faun Tumnus were fueled by the fever dreams of the one and only robot bass clarinet, a true rock bass clarinet manifestation.
