Joy x Jerome - Somebody to Hear Me (For Sibuna Secret Santa 2021)

Once again, I'm uploading a fanvid I created for the Sibuna Secret Santa 2021. This video is dedicated to Meg, aka ironicsopsychotic.

I was given prompts for many different ships, but the one I chose was Jeroy. This video depicts the different romantic subplots affecting Jerome and Joy throughout season 3 (although select Joy footage from season 1 and the Eclipse project footage is also used at one point), culminating in their romantic journey together towards the end of the season.

The song used is "Somebody" by Sophia Fracassi, a song by a Canadian singer/songwriter, who I discovered through this song on a Facebook ad of all places. This song has quickly become my favorite song of 2021, and I'm surprised at how well certain lines fit with Jeroy, especially from Joy's perspective. Plus, one of the first few lines works really well for a New Years' celebration!

This video marks many firsts. This is my first fanvid edited using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. I had used Final Cut Pro X before, and Windows Movie Maker before that. This is the first fanvid where I experimented with keeping the audio from the video clips for some parts. I'm not sure how I feel about the final product, but I think it turned out well. I hope you like it!
