At the end of last year we prepared a special training day for 3 of our Gravity School Scholarship riders, Oscar, Theo and Jon. In the morning we did a timed session on our short but electrifying downhill training track at the compound, and in the afternoon we headed into GritStone CrossFit where I now do my training, to see my coach Lee Newburn, so he could take the lads through some specific training geared towards supporting stability on the downhill bike. Lee is a specialist in strength and conditioning, and nutrition, as well as being a CrossFit athlete himself, so he is in a fanatic position to help the Gravity School riders to train to be stronger, so they can be faster on the bike!
