Today is Janmashtami and since IIT BHU is a temple of knowledge, we celebrated Janmashtami and also prepared for the matki phod competition. The college was decorated in the colors of Janmashtami. the function was organized by the students with the ISCKON community. Janmashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of the month of Bhadrapada, during the Shukla Paksha of the Hindu calendar month of Bhadrapada.

The function started from 6 pm with puja, opening of jhanki, prasad distribution, cultural programs, matki phod and much more.
