A 54 Km/h (33.5 Mph) CMVSS 214 Side impact performed by Transport Canada at PMG Technologies in Blainville, Quebec on 07/18/2001. The research procedures used are referred to the PMG procedure 214 V5 dated June 10th 1999 and the ECE procedure, directive 96/27/EC dated May 20th 1996. The Explorer's occupants are Hybrid III 5th Percentile Female dummies, the 5-Series occupants are a SID-IIs 5th Percentile Female dummy in the front seat and a Q6 Infant Dummy in the rear seat.This test features a 2000 Ford Explorer impacting a 1999 BMW 528i Touring (E39) in an FMVSS/CMVSS 214 configuration.
