With more people getting their hands on the POCO M3, unlocking the bootloader, and then installing Magisk to gain root access, we're going to see a number of those run into a bootloop.

These bootloops really don't have anything to do with Magisk, but it will cause some to flash incompatible mods (and mods that have a bug wandering around here and there) which can lead to a bootloop. Some also refer to this as a brick or even a soft brick due to the phone being useless until it's fixed.

Thankfully, as long as your bootloader is unlocked the process to fix a POCO M3 bootloop is actually really simple. It may seem complex at first but this method has been stable for years and has been able to recover all Xiaomi phones I've had issues with.

To start, you need to download the firmware you want to flash. You also need to download the MiFlash tool as well. This can be done via ADB & Fastboot tools but I have had mixed results with that.

Extract the contents of the firmware as instructed in the video, and then plug that folder path into the Mi Flash tool. Details of this process are laid out in the video. I have explained my best practices when using the program.

You can then boot the POCO M3 into Fastboot Mode and plug it into the PC with a USB cable. Click the Refresh button in the MiFlash program and you should see the device appear in the list.

Now, all you have to do is click the Flash button in the top right corner and wait for the program to work its magic. This process can ~10 minutes so be patient and be sure not to disturb the POCO M3 or the USB cable connection during the process.

If you notice the MiFlash program reaching over 1000 seconds in the timer then the app likely got hung up somewhere. Restart the POCO M3 back into Fastboode and try again.

However, after around 600 seconds (for me) the program began to wrap things up and then displayed a green Success message. This should also cause the phone to reboot automatically as well.

Wait for the device to boot back up and activate the Android OS like you normally would.
